About
Turning complex technology into intelligent business solutions.
That is the whole idea. What follows is how we work to deliver it.
The name
Insight, not mysticism.
“Mystic” refers to insight, not mysticism. It reflects something most experienced engineers recognise: the answer is usually already present in the system, obscured by years of accumulated complexity. Finding it is a discipline.
Most organisations do not need a fundamentally different technology strategy. They need someone to look carefully at what they already have, work out which parts are load-bearing and which are just old, and sequence the changes so the business keeps running throughout.
This is unglamorous work, and it is where most of the value sits. A migration that lands cleanly, an integration that permanently removes a manual step, a cloud bill that maps to owners — these compound year after year.
CloudMystic exists to do that work for mid-market and enterprise organisations, across cloud, SaaS, data and applied AI. We take engagements from advisory through to build and ongoing operations, and we are equally willing to stop at the advice if that is what the situation calls for.
How we operate
Four commitments we hold ourselves to.
We say what we would do in your position
Including when that means a smaller engagement, a different vendor, or no engagement at all. A recommendation you cannot trust is worth less than none.
We write things down
Architecture decisions, trade-offs considered, and why the choice was made. Six months later, when the context has been forgotten, the record is what makes the system maintainable.
We build for the team who inherits it
The measure of good consulting is whether your people can operate and extend the result. Clever solutions that only we understand are a liability we sold you.
We are honest about what we have not done yet
CloudMystic is a new firm. There are no invented case studies or borrowed client logos on this site, and there will not be. Published work will appear here as it completes.
How we work
A structured engagement, scoped to where you are starting from.
The five stages below apply to every engagement. How long each takes depends on the state of the estate and the decisions already made.
- 01
Discover
Understand the business goals, the constraints, and the technology estate as it actually is — not as the documentation describes it.
- 02
Strategise
Agree the target architecture and a sequenced roadmap, with costs, dependencies and decision points made explicit.
- 03
Build
Implement, integrate or modernise in increments, with working software and a clear definition of done at each step.
- 04
Optimise
Measure performance, reliability and cost against the goals set in discovery, and act on what the measurements show.
- 05
Evolve
Continue to adapt the estate as the business changes — either alongside your team, or as a managed service.
Why CloudMystic
Consultancy that leaves you more capable, not more dependent.
CloudMystic is a new firm, and we are direct about that. What follows is how we work — not a claim about size or history.
Business-first technology
Every recommendation ties to a business goal you named. If we cannot connect a piece of work to an outcome, we will say so rather than build it.
Cloud-native by default
We design for managed services, automation and elasticity from the outset — rather than lifting existing infrastructure into a more expensive location.
Practical innovation
AI and emerging technology are applied where they remove real work. We are equally willing to tell you a simpler solution is the right one.
Knowledge transfer built in
Documentation, architecture decision records and handover are part of delivery, not a final invoice item. Your team should be able to run what we build.
Outcome-focused delivery
Work is scoped in increments with a defined result, so progress is visible and the engagement can be adjusted as priorities move.
No unnecessary complexity
We choose the least complex architecture that meets the requirement, because complexity is a cost your team pays for years afterwards.
